London has emerged as the most international retail city in the world, attracting 60 percent of the world’s top retailers, according to the latest retail research published by the international consultancy firm CB Richard Ellis. London was followed by Paris (which attracts 49 percent of retailers) in 2nd place and New York in 3rd (with 47 percent). Perhaps the biggest surprise was Dubai’s clinching of the fourth spot in the rankings. Madrid occupied 5th position while Barcelona was the 9th most popular destination for retailers.

CBRE’s annual study mapped the global footprint of 280 of the world’s top retailers across 67 countries, while also analyzing the globalization of the retail industry and highlighting differences between sectors and regions.
