The Influence of Educational Background on Spanish Entrepreneurial Activity
The latest edition of a research project into the growth of Spanish companies (Proyecto de Investigación: Análisis del Crecimiento de la Empresa Española, AC-E) has just been published. The first edition of the project was launched back in 2005 with the aim of carrying out an in-depth study of the factors at play in determining which small and medium-sized enterprises provide employment opportunities and growth potential.
The second edition, published in 2007, had more specific objectives, including the elaboration of a more exhaustive sector-by-sector study of entrepreneurial activities.
The recently published third edition of the study contributes valuable information about business growth from a number of different perspectives. This time the central aim of the study is to analyze the role and influence of an entrepreneur’s educational background on the growth expectations of their particular entrepreneurial activity.
The report, whose Spanish title is “La influencia de la educación específica en la actividad emprendedora española y en sus expectativas de crecimiento,” is available (in Spanish) from the Spanish Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade’s website.
