The International Labour Organization (ILO) has just published an update of the Global Wages Report 2008/09, which was originally released in November 2008. The present update provides some indicators of wage trends up to the second quarter of 2009 in a number of countries around the world. The study reports that the picture on wages is likely to get worse in 2009, regardless of the fact that other economic indicators point to an overall economic rebound. Both developed and developing countries have raised their minimum wages in recent years.

The report full-text is available on the web.
