Youth in Europe: a statistical portrait
Eurostat has just published its report, “Youth in Europe: A Statistical Portrait.” Overall, young people represented just under a fifth of the EU population: 95 million people aged between 15 and 29 years. Statistics confirm that there are discrepancies in the behavior of youth between Member States.
What, for example, is the average age of young people leaving the parental home? What proportion of young people are employed on a temporary contract?
The answers to theses questions and many more can be found on Eurostat’s website.
