The IFC and the World Bank have just launched the report “Doing Business in Indonesia 2010.” The study analyzes business regulation in Indonesia by comparing 14 Indonesian cities, focusing on local and national regulations that affect three stages in the life of small to midsize domestic firms:

-Starting a business

-Dealing with construction permits

-Registering property

The report finds some good regulatory practices that compare well internationally. However, it finds wide variation in local business regulation across the country.
